Air India introduces new policy for cabin crew: From allowance hike for international flights to room sharing rules – All you need to know – Airlines/Aviation News

Air India is implementing a new policy for cabin crew, requiring certain employees to share rooms during layovers on domestic and international flights. This policy does not apply to Air India Express. The airline is also increasing allowances for international crew members from $75-125 to $85-135 and maintaining the domestic allowance of Rs 1,000 per night. The changes are part of efforts to harmonize employee benefits following the merger with Vistara. Cabin crew with less than 8-9 years of experience will be required to share rooms, while others will be exempt. This is the first time Air India has implemented room sharing, which is already practiced at Air India Express and Vistara.
