The Last Hurrah: Chevrolet Unveils the Exclusive COPO Camaro, But Sorry, It’s Not For Sale
The final Chevrolet COPO Camaro has been unveiled, marking the end of an era for the high-performance, track-focused Camaro variant. The COPO Camaro was first introduced in 2012 as a tribute to the iconic COPO Camaro concept car from the 1960s. Over the years, the COPO Camaro has evolved into a formidable track machine, with power outputs ranging from 650 to 1,400 horsepower.
However, General Motors has decided to discontinue the COPO Camaro, and the final example has been revealed as a 2022 model. The car features a unique exterior design, including a distinctive white and red stripe scheme, and is powered by a 1,000-horsepower LT4 engine. While the COPO Camaro is an impressive machine, it’s not for sale to the public. The final COPO Camaro will be donated to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where it will join other notable Chevrolet performance cars on display.
