Royal Enfield, a well-known motorcycle manufacturer, has made its entry into the electric vehicle market with the launch of its first electric motorcycle, the “Flying Flea”, under its sub-brand. The new model was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. The Flying Flea features a Qualcomm Snapdragon QWM2290 system-on-chip, a technology commonly found in smartphones. This chip enables advanced connectivity features and controls various aspects of the motorcycle’s operation.

According to the Flying Flea website, the motorcycle’s software optimizes the riding experience, improving mileage and creating a visceral ride feel. Riders can customize their travel experience with 200,000 possible settings combinations, allowing them to adjust power, regen, and traction to their liking. The Flying Flea’s technology offers a unique and personalized riding experience, setting it apart from other electric motorcycles in the market.

The use of a smartphone-like chip in the Flying Flea also opens up possibilities for seamless connectivity and over-the-air updates, allowing riders to stay connected and receive software updates remotely. This feature could potentially enhance the overall riding experience and provide additional safety features. With the launch of the Flying Flea, Royal Enfield is poised to make a significant impact in the electric motorcycle market, offering riders a unique blend of performance, technology, and customization.
