Mahindra has revealed the Black Edition of the Scorpio N, which is expected to be launched soon. The special edition will be limited to higher-end variants and may feature a 4×4 drivetrain. Exclusive images of the vehicle have been obtained from a dealership, showcasing the changes made to the exterior and interior of the SUV.

Exterior changes include a blacked-out theme, with black alloy wheels, roof rails, outside rearview mirrors, and window cladding. The front and rear skid plates and door cladding have a dark grey finish instead of silver, and the badging, chrome slats on the grille, and outside door handles have a dark chrome accent. The interior features an all-black theme, with black leatherette seats and a brushed aluminum trim surrounding the AC vents and touchscreen panel.

The Black Edition is expected to retain most of the regular Scorpio N’s features, including an 8-inch touchscreen, analogue dials with a 7-inch digital display, auto AC, and a single-pane sunroof. It will also likely feature ventilated front seats, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, and wireless phone charger.

The powertrain options are expected to be the same as the regular Scorpio N, with a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine, both with manual or automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive options. The expected price range is between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 24.69 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), making it a rival to mid-size SUVs like the Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar.
