Honda has announced that the fourth-generation mid-size Passport SUV is now available for delivery to US dealerships, starting on February 11. This latest model of the Passport is designed to offer enhanced off-road capability and versatility. Two new trims, the TrailSport and TrailSport Elite, have been added to the lineup, which are specifically geared towards taking the Passport’s off-road performance to the next level.

The TrailSport trim is designed to be a more extreme take on the Passport’s already capable off-road credentials, with features such as a unique exterior design, exclusive wheel and tire combinations, and suspension tuning that is tailored to provide better grip and better clearance. The TrailSport Elite trim takes things a step further, with even more aggressive off-road-oriented features, including a raised suspension, unique 18-inch wheels, and a distinctive exterior design that is sure to turn heads.

The new Passport features a range of other updates, including an improved suspension system, a more advanced all-wheel-drive system, and a more powerful engine. The base engine is a 3.5-liter V6, which produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, while the top-of-the-line trim gets a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid engine that puts out 280 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.

The new Passport also features a range of interior and exterior updates, including a more premium cabin, new tech features, and a revised exterior design. The new Passport is designed to take on competitors like the Ford Bronco, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Toyota 4Runner, and with its off-road credentials, versatility, and tech features, it is well-placed to give them a run for their money. With the new TrailSport and TrailSport Elite trims, the Passport is sure to appeal to off-road enthusiasts and adventure-seekers, while still offering a comfortable and refined on-road driving experience.
