Jawa Motorcycles has launched a special edition for the Jawa 350, known as the Legacy Edition, priced at Rs 1,98,950 (ex-showroom Delhi). This limited edition is limited to just 500 units and competes directly with the Heritage variant of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, priced at Rs 1,99,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). Both bikes have a unique, retro classic design that sets them apart from other motorcycles on the market.

The Jawa 350 takes its design inspiration from older Jawa motorcycles, featuring a perfectly designed fuel tank and neatly integrated panels, while the Royal Enfield Classic 350’s design is rooted in its heritage, with a tear drop-shaped metal tank and neatly designed metal panels. Both bikes are available in multiple color options, with the Jawa 350’s Legacy Edition offered in a Madras Red and Jodhpur Blue scheme, while the Classic 350 is available in Madras Red and Jodhpur Blue.

Under the hood, the Jawa 350 uses a 334cc liquid-cooled motor, producing 22.5PS and 28.1Nm, while the Classic 350 uses a 349cc air-cooled motor, producing 20.4PS and 27Nm. The Jawa 350’s 6-speed gearbox provides a more aggressive power delivery, while the Classic 350’s 5-speed gearbox delivers power and torque more linearly.

In terms of underpinnings, the Jawa 350 features a 35mm telescopic fork, dual rear shocks with preload adjustability, and a 280mm front and 240mm rear disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS. The Classic 350 features a 41mm telescopic fork, twin rear shocks with preload adjustability, and a 300mm front and 270mm rear disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS.

In terms of features, the Jawa 350 is more basic, with an analogue speedometer and digital inset, while the Classic 350 offers an option for turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. However, the Jawa 350’s legacy edition only offers a limited number of units, making it a rare and unique offering. Ultimately, the choice between the two bikes will depend on personal preference, with the Jawa 350 appealing to those who value a more aggressive riding experience and the Classic 350 appealing to those who prefer a more laid-back, nostalgic ride.
