BYD, a Chinese automaker, has announced the early arrival of its Xia plug-in hybrid minivan at dealerships, ahead of its official launch on January 8. The vehicles are being displayed at dealerships, but not for sale yet. The Xia minivan is the brand’s flagship model, featured in a white body color with a brown-beige interior. It has a large grille, integrated headlights, and a unique Dragon Whisker chrome-plated element. The interior features a 15.6-inch floating screen, 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor. The vehicle has two battery options, 20.4 kWh and 36.6 kWh, providing a range of 100-180 km. The price range is expected to be 280,000-320,000 yuan (38,400-43,800 USD). The BYD Xia is not a direct competitor to the 2025 Denza D9 minivan, which starts at 339,800 yuan (46,600 USD).
