Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) has launched its first electric scooter, the e-Access, along with two other models at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The e-Access is powered by a 3.07 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, offering a range of 95 km and a top speed of 71 km/h. The battery can be fully charged in 6 hours and 42 minutes using a portable charger or in 2 hours and 12 minutes with a fast charger.
In addition to the e-Access, Suzuki has also introduced the GIXXER SF 250 Flex Fuel, its first motorcycle in India compatible with E85 fuel, a blend of ethanol and gasoline. The GIXXER SF 250 Flex Fuel features a 250 cc BS VI-compliant engine and can run on ethanol concentrations of up to 85%. This bike is part of Suzuki’s efforts to promote carbon-neutral transportation.
The company has also unveiled an all-new 125 cc Access scooter, designed with updated features such as LED position lights, LED tail lamps, and a Bluetooth-enabled multi-functional digital instrument cluster.
Toshihiro Suzuki, Representative Director and President of Suzuki Motor Corporation, emphasized the importance of the Indian market to the company and its commitment to creating products of superior value and focusing on customer satisfaction. He also reiterated Suzuki’s focus on achieving carbon neutrality through multiple pathways, including battery electric vehicles, e-fuels, hydrogen engines, bio-fuel models, and better fuel economy in internal combustion engines.
The new launches were showcased at the Suzuki Motorcycle India pavilion, themed “Spectrum of Mobility,” which also displayed the company’s lineup of large motorcycles, including the GSX-8R, V-Storm 800 DE, and the Hayabusa. The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which is being held across three venues in New Delhi and Greater Noida, is expected to witness over 100 new launches across automobiles, component products, and technologies.
