BYD has introduced its new electric vehicle, the Atto 2, a compact SUV with a range of up to 194 miles on a single charge. The standard-range edition comes with a 45.1kWh battery pack and an electric motor producing 174bhp. The car features a cell-to-body construction and sits on the new e-Platform 3.0, which integrates the battery into the chassis. The Atto 2’s design resembles other BYD models, with LED headlights, lower plastic body cladding, and a floating roofline. The interior features a large infotainment screen, physical shortcut buttons, and a centre console with cupholders and an armrest that doubles as a storage area. The boot space is 400 liters, expandable to 1,340 liters with the rear bench folded down. The Atto 2 will be available in February, with prices to be announced. It will make its debut at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show in January. According to BYD’s executive vice president, Stella Li, the Atto 2 is an “agile and versatile offering” that will appeal to the large potential customer base in the B-segment SUV class.
BYD’s latest addition, the Atto 2, boosts the Chinese brand’s growing range of models in the market.
