A 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was discovered in a barn, only to be revealed as a rare Yenko Camaro, worth a staggering $500,000. Yenko was a partnership between American racecar driver and dealership owner Donald Yenko, who produced high-performance Camaros with beefed-up engines. Due to their limited numbers, Yenko Camaros are rare finds. A closer inspection of the metallic-green car revealed that it was actually a Z28 clone that originated as a Yenko Camaro, with evidence of the original Butternut Yellow paintwork and a 7.0-liter big block engine capable of producing 450 horsepower. The car was found in unknown circumstances, but its bodywork is rust-free, although it would need restoration to realize its full potential. Only 56 Yenko Camaro vehicles were produced in 1967, making this find extremely rare. Camaro expert Jerry McNeish has authenticated the vehicle and placed a price tag of $500,000 to $650,000, but restoration is necessary to achieve this value.
Rarity uncovered: a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, initially thought to be a barn find, is actually a highly sought-after Yenko model.
