Nissan Motor India has announced that it has recorded a cumulative total of 9,040 vehicle sales in November 2024. The company sold 2,342 units in the domestic market and exported 6,698 units. Notably, Nissan has crossed the milestone of 5,00,000 units sold in the domestic market since its inception in India. The company sells the Magnite and X-Trail SUVs in India, with the Magnite being manufactured locally and the X-Trail being available in a completely built-up (CBU) form. Nissan exports the Magnite to over 65 countries, including left-hand drive markets. The company’s managing director, Saurabh Vatsa, expressed pride in reaching the 5,00,000 sales milestone and reiterated the company’s commitment to its Indian operations. However, the company’s parent, Nissan Motor Corporation, is facing a financial crisis, with a limited time frame to secure a new investor to ensure its survival.
Other carmakers, notably, exported 3 times their domestic sales in November.
