Mahindra has launched two new electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and the BE 6, under its new brands “XEV” and “BE”. The Mahindra BE 6 is a sporty model with a 0-100 kmph sprint time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 200 kmph, with 288 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque. The company plans to launch more products under the BE brand. Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, and Honda are also gearing up to launch their electric SUVs in India. Hyundai’s Creta EV is expected to have a similar design to the current Creta and will offer a 500 km single-charge range. Maruti’s e Vitara will debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, with a 400 km range on a single charge. Honda’s Elevate EV will be launched in the next 2 years, but details are scarce. These new electric SUVs will compete with each other in the Indian market.
