Luca Marini, a MotoGP rider for Honda, has responded to claims from teammate Joan Mir that the team didn’t bring anything new to the post-season test. Marini stated that he had more to test than expected, including a new 2025 prototype that will be the base for the Sepang test. He felt that the new chassis improved the front-end of the bike, but didn’t address the rear traction issues that have plagued the Honda all year. Marini noted that the test was not perfect and that some negatives may be due to overall bike set-up rather than the chassis. He warned that progress will still take time, and it’s early to expect a significant step for the first test of 2025. Honda will test at Jerez this week, where Marini says there will be new and more interesting developments.
