Citroen has unveiled a pre-production prototype of its upcoming C5 Aircross SUV, set to launch in 2025. The prototype features a new design described as “muscular and assertive”, but is not a final production model. The SUV has a new platform, the STLA Medium, which will support various powertrains, including internal combustion and electric vehicles. The design includes unique features such as a crease in the roofline, three-piece taillights, and winglets on the front doors. The C5 Aircross is slightly longer and taller than its predecessor, with improved aerodynamics that will reportedly add 30 km (18 miles) of electric range compared to the old design. The company has not revealed specific powertrain details, but says the new platform will support a range of options.
