Citroen is working on an electric version of its Basalt coupe SUV, which was introduced in India earlier this year. The EV model will feature minor design tweaks compared to its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, including a reworked front bumper, no grille, and revised air dam. The car may also come with new alloy wheels and a charging port on the left-hand side rear fender. The interior is expected to feature a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless mobile charger, automatic climate control, TPMS, and wireless mobile connectivity. Details about the powertrain are still unknown, but it’s expected to be powered by a 35kWh battery pack with a single electric motor, potentially offering a range of 450km on a single full charge. The electric Basalt is expected to be launched in late 2024 or early 2025.
