Montpelier archaeologist assesses fire damage

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – An archaeologist at James Madison’s Montpelier says work is being done around the clock to recover artifacts and records damaged in an April 8, 2024 fire.Director of Archaeology and Landscape Matt Reeves says it happened at Montpelier’s archaeology lab.
