Edelweiss, a Swiss leisure airline and part of the Lufthansa Group, is revamping its long-haul flights with a range of upgrades to its cabins. The airline is introducing a new business class cabin, as well as an upgraded “Business Suite” product, which promises to offer a more luxurious experience for passengers. Additionally, Edelweiss is adding a premium economy section, providing more comfort and amenities for travelers who want to upgrade from standard economy.<\/p>\n
But it’s not just the higher-end cabins that are getting an upgrade – standard economy class is also being improved, with more legroom to help alleviate the discomfort of long-haul flights. This is a welcome change for passengers who may not be able to afford the more expensive options, but still want to travel in relative comfort.<\/p>\n
The upgrades are being implemented through a retrofit of Edelweiss’s existing four Airbus A350 aircraft, as well as the addition of two new A350s to the fleet. These new planes will eventually replace the airline’s older A340 fleet, which was inherited from its sister airline SWISS. The A350 is a more modern and fuel-efficient aircraft, offering a more comfortable and sustainable flying experience for passengers.<\/p>\n
