The Rome Sentinel reports that Curt Fitzpatrick, a former coach at Cortland High School, has been named the new head football coach at Colgate University. Fitzpatrick replaces Dan Hunt, who stepped down from the position after 14 seasons. Fitzpatrick has a strong background in football, having served as an assistant coach at Cortland High School for 11 years before being promoted to head coach in 2017. During his tenure, the team won four Section III championships and appeared in three state semifinals.
