HCLSoftware, a division of HCLTech, has announced its plans to acquire Jaspersoft, a business intelligence platform, from Cloud Software Group for $240 million in cash. The deal, which is expected to close within six months, will see all 115 Jaspersoft employees transferred to HCLSoftware. This acquisition is driven by the growing demand for data and AI solutions, particularly in the areas of metadata management, data catalog, and data governance.
Jaspersoft is a leading business intelligence and reporting platform that enables organizations to create reports, interactive dashboards, and advanced visualizations. The acquisition is expected to enhance HCLSoftware’s Data & AI division, Actian, by providing an end-to-end, immersive data management experience. Additionally, it will expand HCLSoftware’s reach through a large global developer community of data engineers and architects.
This acquisition is the third deal for HCLTech this month and its fourth overall in 2025. It follows the recent acquisition of Belgium-based start-up Wobby, which was also aimed at meeting the growing demand for data and AI solutions. The acquisition of Jaspersoft is subject to regulatory approvals in multiple countries, including the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

We believe HCLSoftware is a strong strategic owner for the business.” The acquisition is expected to strengthen HCLSoftware’s position in the data and AI market and provide its customers with a more comprehensive range of solutions.
