Industrialist Gautam Adani announced a massive investment of ₹65,000 crore in Chhattisgarh’s energy and cement sectors during a meeting with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The plan aims to boost the state’s industrial and social infrastructure. The Adani Group will invest ₹60,000 crore in expanding power plants in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh, increasing the state’s power generation capacity by 6,120 MW. Additionally, the group will invest ₹5,000 crore in expanding its cement plants, enhancing production capacity and driving growth in the construction sector. Adani also committed ₹10,000 crore over four years for CSR initiatives focusing on education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism. The group is open to partnerships in defense equipment manufacturing, data centers, and a Global Capability Centre in Chhattisgarh, aiming to diversify the state’s industrial base and attract further investment.
