The Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) organized a placement drive at its West Bokaro Division, resulting in 27 successful placements for 27 out of 50 candidates from Jharkhand. The selected candidates received job offers from top companies like MRF Tyres and Schneider. The drive aimed to address unemployment and was conducted in collaboration with the Model Career Centre (MCC), targeting candidates from underserved areas and last mile communities. The foundation also introduced pre-placement career counseling sessions to improve participation and motivation among candidates. One of the successful candidates, 22-year-old Babita Kumari, credited the opportunity with bringing stability and purpose to her life, saying it has “transformed her life”. The foundation’s placement drives have seen 85 successful placements across India, with 416 candidates appearing for interviews.
