On June 7, 2025, the 3rd Annual Wipro Earthian Regional Awards and Green Exchange were held at the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) Auditorium in Kohima. The event was organized by the Wipro Earthian Nagaland Chapter, in collaboration with the Community Educational Centre Society (CECS) and the District Education Office, Kohima. The purpose of the event was to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students and educators.

Three schools, Vision Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, GHS Chandmari, Kohima, and Rajeshwari Karuna School, Tuli, were recognized for their outstanding contributions to sustainability education. The director of CECS, Subonenba Longkumer, emphasized the importance of involving young people in environmental education, stating that small efforts at the school level can lead to long-term positive change in society. Senior SDEO Kohima, Patricia Vizo, welcomed participants and praised schools for their active engagement in the program.

The event featured a felicitation ceremony, where students from the honored schools shared their experiences and lessons learned from their projects. The keynote address was delivered by Shashank Pratap Singh, Principal Director of the Department of School Education, who highlighted the role of education in promoting environmental responsibility. He encouraged schools to continue engaging students in practical learning that benefits both the environment and the community.

The event also included an Environmental Sustainability Exhibit, where six schools showcased their project work through models, charts, and presentations on topics such as waste management, water conservation, and biodiversity. The exhibit provided a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas and solutions to environmental challenges. The event saw participation from over 100 students and 32 teachers, providing a platform for learning, interaction, and exchange of ideas between schools.

Overall, the 3rd Annual Wipro Earthian Regional Awards and Green Exchange was a successful event that promoted environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students and educators. It recognized the outstanding contributions of schools and provided a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas and solutions to environmental challenges. The event aims to continue promoting environmental education and sustainability practices among schools in Nagaland, with the goal of creating a more sustainable and environmentally conscious community.
