At the convocation ceremony of Sridevi Engineering College in Tumakuru, V. J. Hanumesh, Vice President at Infosys, emphasized the importance of continued learning and the role of society in knowledge acquisition. He urged graduates not to consider their education complete upon receiving their degree, but rather to view it as a foundation for further learning and growth. Hanumesh stressed that knowledge has immense value worldwide and is not limited to individual possession. He also highlighted the collective effort involved in learning, attributing 25% of education to teachers, 25% to individual hard work, 25% to peers, and 25% to society.

Hanumesh encouraged graduates to maintain good health, cultivate an interest in arts, and recognize the debt they owe to their community. He emphasized that education is more significant than food donation and has the power to transform lives. The Vice President of Infosys also advised graduates to use their education for the betterment of society and humanity.

The convocation ceremony was attended by senior faculty members, including Dr. L. Girish and Dr. Lavanya Raman. Dr. M. R. Hulinayakar, President of the Sridevi Group of Educational Institutions, praised the success of Indian defense operations and technological advancements, expressing confidence in India’s rapid rise as a global economic power. Dr. Raman Hulinayakar, Medical Director of Sridevi Medical College, encouraged graduates to view their degree as the beginning of a new journey.

About 250 graduating students took a pledge to use their education for the welfare of society and humanity. The college principal, Narendra Vishwanath, highlighted the institution’s commitment to technical education and appealed to parents for continued support. The ceremony marked an important milestone in the academic journey of the graduating students, as they embark on a new path of learning, growth, and contribution to society. The event emphasized the significance of education, community, and continuous learning in shaping the future of individuals and the nation.
