The Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Infosys, has launched the fourth edition of its Aarohan Social Innovation Awards. The awards aim to recognize and reward individuals, teams, NGOs, and social enterprises that have developed innovative technology-based solutions to address the challenges faced by underprivileged communities in India. The foundation has invited innovators and social entrepreneurs from across the country to participate in the awards, with a total award purse of Rs 2 crore, and up to Rs 50 lakh per winner.
The awards will focus on three categories: education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. The foundation believes that innovation has the power to address real-world challenges and uplift communities. The awards will identify and support changemakers who are driving impactful solutions in these areas. The submissions for the awards will commence immediately and conclude on June 15. The awards are open to citizens aged 18 years and above who are residing in India.
To participate, individuals can submit entries describing their work in the form of videos, which can be uploaded on the Aarohan Social Innovation Awards website.
