Seven people have been arrested in connection with the theft of silver worth lakhs of rupees from Adani Port in Chennai. The theft was discovered on June 16, and the Individuals were arrested on June 21.

According to the police, the thieves entered the port’s warehouse on the night of June 16 and stole a large quantity of silver, valued around Rs 1.5 crore. The theft was reported to the police on June 17, and an investigation was launched.

The police investigation revealed that the thieves had entered the warehouse through a loophole in the compound wall. They had planned the theft carefully, taking measures to avoid detection by security cameras and guards.

The seven individuals arrested are all from Kerala, and are aged between 20 and 30. The police are still searching for a few more accomplices who are believed to have been involved in the theft.

The silver was stolen from a storage area of the port, where it was being kept for export. The police said that the thieves must have had inside help, as they knew exactly where to take the silver to make it easier for them to escape.

The arrested individuals are being questioned by the police, and an investigation is ongoing to determine how they planned and executed the theft. The police are also testing the silver to determine its purity and value.

The Adani Port has promised to cooperate fully with the police investigation and to take additional measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
