Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has appointed Aarthi Subramanian as its new President and Chief Operating Officer, effective May 1, 2025. Subramanian joins TCS from Tata Sons, where she was Group Chief Digital Officer. She has been a Non-Executive Member of TCS’s Board since her time at Tata Sons, and her new role will also grant her Executive Director status on the Board. With over 28 years of experience in the technology sector, Subramanian began her career at TCS in 1989 as a graduate trainee before advancing through roles to senior executive positions in various international locations.
Throughout her tenure at TCS, Subramanian has managed large-scale technology programs, operations, and consulting engagements. Her expertise includes overseeing multiple clients and accounts, and she has also held leadership positions in multiple regions, including Sweden, India, the US, and Canada. Subramanian spent seven years as the head of Delivery for the TCS Retail & CPG Business segment, where she managed key clients and accounts.
Subramanian holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, and an M.E. in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas, USA. In her free time, Subramanian enjoys activities such as fitness, listening to music, watching movies, and reading management-related books.
With this appointment, TCS aims to leverage Subramanian’s rich experience and expertise to drive the company’s operational strategy and growth. As President and COO, she will be expected to oversee the company’s operations, programs, and client relationships.
