The 23rd Graduation Ceremony for XLRI’s VIL and Corporate Programmes was held at the Tata Auditorium in Jamshedpur, India. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for 314 working professionals who had completed rigorous academic programmes while balancing professional responsibilities. The guests of honor included Firdose Vandrevala, Founder Chairman and Managing Partner of “The Firm,” who is also a former Managing Director of Tata Power and Deputy MD of Tata Steel.

In his address, Vandrevala congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between work and personal life, building resilience, and never giving up. He also shared ten guiding principles for success, including the development of intangible assets, maintaining an integrated view of challenges, and fostering innovation. The graduates represented diverse industries and backgrounds, including those from PGCBM, PGCHRM, PGCHRM (Accenture), PGCGM, EDHRM, and EDABS.

Academic excellence was recognized with six gold medals awarded to outstanding students. The Executive Diploma in Human Resource Management (EDHRM) cohort was also recognized for their contributions to the industry, with graduates achieving promotions to strategic roles and notable accomplishments in their respective fields.

The ceremony was presided over by XLRI leadership, including Fr. Sebastian George, S.J., Sanjay Patro, Fr. Donald D’Silva, S.J., and Manoj Thomas. Fr. George urged the graduates to use their skills for inclusive growth and to address poverty and socio-economic challenges. The convocation served as a reminder of XLRI’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible, future-ready business leaders through flexible and innovative educational programmes.
