AvanStrate Inc., a company from the Vedanta Group, has launched the Super Green SaiSei series, a display glass product that incorporates at least 50% recycled content, becoming the world’s first to achieve this milestone. This launch positions AvanStrate at the forefront of sustainable display technology with a reduction of up to 95% in carbon emissions. The product is certified by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) and meets global green product standards.
The Super Green SaiSei series leverages proprietary manufacturing processes that minimize energy consumption by 20% and utilize furnaces that repurpose construction waste to minimize dependency on virgin materials. This results in a display glass product with identical properties and process requirements as conventional materials, allowing for easy adoption without requiring modifications to existing infrastructure.
The company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability aligns with its parent company, Vedanta, and its shared ESG vision. AvanStrate’s managing director, Akarsh K. Hebbar, stated that the company aims to redefine the future of display glass by combining innovation with sustainability, creating impactful outcomes for its customers while reducing the environmental footprint of high-tech manufacturing.
The new series not only performs well in terms of quality and properties but also adheres to strict environmental standards. It is certified to meet RoHS and WEEE, and its recycled content meets the requirements of ISO 14021:2016 standards as confirmed by SGS. This level of verification has already garnered interest from major clients prioritizing sustainability, indicating a potential shift towards eco-conscious manufacturing. By adopting the Super Green SaiSei series, companies can reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future in the display technology industry.
