Tata Steel won the toss and chose to bat first, posting a total of 179 for 7 in 20 overs. Amar and Pala were the top scorers with 51 and 28 runs, respectively, while Buland Iqbal of Press Club XI took 3 wickets for 36 runs.

In response, the Press Club XI struggled to chase the target, managing a score of 155 for 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Nisar Ahmed, the captain, scored 66 runs off 50 balls, while Babu Wasim added 23 runs off 18 balls.
