Vodafone Idea (Vi) has partnered with HCL Technologies’ software business unit, HCLSoftware, to enhances its 4G and 5G network coverage. This partnership aims to make Vi’s networks “smarter and more efficient” using HCL’s Augmented Network Automation (HCL ANA) solution. The technology will help Vi to manage its Ericsson and Samsung networks, improving network performance, energy efficiency, and reducing costs. HCL ANA has an open architecture, allowing Vi to manage its network independently and reduce its dependence on OEM-specific features and applications. The partnership will also enable Vi to offer better services to its customers, with HCL ANA’s AI-powered platform streamlining network operations and providing a superior network experience. Vi plans to launch its commercial 5G services by March 2025, with thousands of new sites enhancing connectivity and elevating network experience.
