The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai has achieved Level 5 accreditation from the Airports Council International (ACI), becoming the first airport in India and third in the world to achieve this milestone. The accreditation is a result of the airport’s dedication to improving the passenger experience through design thinking methodologies, employee training, and customer feedback. The airport has implemented various innovations, including an expanded digital gateway program, e-gates at the entry to T2, and the Aviio app, which enables stakeholders to collaborate and serve passengers better. The airport has also reintroduced the Pawfect program, featuring comfort dogs at the departures terminal. The director of Adani Airport Holdings Limited, Jeet Adani, said that CSMIA is thrilled to stand among the world’s leading airports and that the accreditation is a testament to their commitment to customer service. The airport’s success is attributed to the hard work of its employees, vendor partners, and stakeholders, who have undergone rigorous training to ensure a smooth passenger journey.
