Bosch will make his Test debut for South Africa in the match against Pakistan at Centurion, joining an all-seam bowling attack. The 30-year-old’s inclusion comes after a series of injuries to several team members, including Ottneil Baartman, Nandre Burger, Gerald Coetzee, Wiaan Mulder, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, and Lizaad Williams. Captain Temba Bavuma praised Bosch’s skills, saying he adds an extra element to the bowling attack with his pace and ability to hit the deck hard. Bosch also showed his batting skills in his ODI debut, scoring 40 not out. The all-pace attack means Keshav Maharaj, South Africa’s frontline spinner, sits out. The team is aiming for a win to secure a spot in the World Test Championship and acknowledges the pressure that comes with being favored to win. Captain Bavuma emphasized the importance of keeping things simple and doing the small things right to achieve success. The starting lineup for South Africa includes Donovon, Markram, Rickelton, Stubbs, Bavuma, Bedingham, Verreynne, Jansen, Bosch, Rabada, and Paterson.
