Bosch has announced that its latest radar technology, Advanced Rider Assistance System (ARAS), will be available in high-end motorcycles in 2025. The system uses radars at both ends to apply additional brake pressure and stop the bike in emergency situations, even when following traffic. It also allows the bike to pull away from a stop once traffic clears. The technology will initially be available in high-end motorcycles, but Bosch plans to bring it to middle-weight bikes and premium scooters as well. However, the system will come at an additional cost, and two-wheeler manufacturers will need to upgrade the braking hardware to make it work effectively. The system is expected to debut in the KTM 1390 Super Adventure S EVO, which is the first motorcycle to feature Bosch’s latest radar technology.
Stay streets ahead with Bosch’s innovative self-stopping radar technology on more motorcycles than ever before.
