Top athletes vow to deliver a thrilling performance at the Tata Steel World SW 25K on December 15.

The 2022 TSW 25K road race is scheduled to take place on December 15, with $142,214 in prize money on offer. The defending champions, Daniel Ebenyo and Sutume Kebede, are aiming to retain their titles. Ebenyo holds the current event record in the men’s category, while Kebede holds the women’s record. Both champions are confident of their chances, with Ebenyo aiming for a course record and Kebede saying she’s prepared and confident after recovering from a stomach problem and changing coaches. Other notable participants include Benson Kipruto, a veteran of 16 marathons and bronze medal winner in the Paris Olympics. Kipruto is looking to challenge for the winner’s spot and says he’s prepared after a rigorous training regime. He credits his Paris medal win with increasing his recognition and invitations, and says he’s using the prize money to build a house in Kenya. The top three finishers in each category will win $15,000, $10,000, and $7,000, respectively, with an additional $5,000 event record bonus on offer.
