Dinesh Kumar Saraogi is a renowned figure in the steel industry with over 43 years of experience. He has led numerous projects, including the development of greenfield and brownfield projects in India and abroad. As a consultant, he helps businesses overcome operational challenges, optimize performance, and achieve sustainable growth. A mechanical engineer by education, Saraogi began his career at Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) and rose through the ranks to become the CEO, overseeing all operations and expansion projects. Under his leadership, JSPL achieved significant milestones, including the commissioning of India’s largest blast furnace and the nation’s first coal gasification plant integrated with DRI technology. He also led the Vulcal Green Steel Project in Oman, which utilizes green hydrogen to reduce CO2 emissions. Saraogi’s expertise and leadership have earned him several awards, including the Best Corporate Leader of Odisha Award and the Fame Award – Best Director of the Year. He is now focused on sharing his expertise with steel plants globally through his consultancy, providing guidance on plant efficiency, strategic planning, and sustainable growth.
