The Ebella is a rebadged version of the upcoming Maruti e Vitara, with a distinctive and neat styling that is slightly larger in length and height. The exterior features a closed-off face, sleek bumpers, and monopod LED headlights with pixel-like DRLs, giving it a menacing look. The rear adopts a full-width LED light bar that connects the taillamps, with pixel-style lighting elements visible within the clusters.

Inside, the Ebella has a dual-tone black and tan cabin theme, with a two-spoke, leatherette-wrapped steering wheel and leatherette upholstery. The dashboard features soft-touch materials, sturdy buttons, and switches, as well as a dual-screen setup that occupies a large portion of the dashboard. The Ebella comes decently equipped with features such as a 10.1-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, and a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat.

On the safety front, the Ebella gets basics covered, including 7 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, and an electronic parking brake. It also features a Level-2 ADAS suite, which includes lane keep assist, high beam assist, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking. The Ebella will be offered with a Battery As A Service (BaaS) rental scheme, allowing customers to rent the battery instead of purchasing it outright.

The Ebella will be available with two battery options: a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh pack, with a claimed range of up to 543 km. The EV will come with a front-wheel drivetrain and a single-motor setup in India, with the larger unit producing 174 PS and 189 Nm of torque. The Ebella will compete with other electric SUVs in the market, including the Maruti e Vitara, Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and the Mahindra BE 6. Overall, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella EV is a promising entry into the mass-market electric vehicle space, offering a range of features, safety technologies, and a competitive range.

The 2026 Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella EV has been unveiled, marking Toyota’s entry into the mass-market electric vehicle space.
