Theo Pourchaire, a French driver, is set to return to the wheel of a Formula E car at the end of January in Miami, despite being committed to a full season in the World Endurance Championship with Peugeot. Pourchaire has previously participated in two free practice sessions in Formula E with Maserati, which has since rebranded as Citro\u00ebn. He will drive for Citro\u00ebn on January 30th, the day before the Miami E-Prix, on a modified version of the Miami Autodrome circuit.<\/p>\n
Citro\u00ebn has had a strong start to the season, with two podium finishes and a victory in Mexico, thanks to drivers Nick Cassidy and Jean-\u00c9ric Vergne. Cassidy now leads the championship, and Pourchaire will provide additional support to the team with his participation in the rookie test. Cyril Blais, Team Principal of Citro\u00ebn, is pleased to have Pourchaire back on board, citing his talent and maturity demonstrated in previous sessions.<\/p>\n
Pourchaire is equally enthusiastic about returning to Formula E, acknowledging that it’s been a while since he last drove the car. He plans to train intensively on the simulator with the team to be as prepared as possible for the session. Other rookies will also participate in the session, including Chloe Chambers at Mahindra and Nikita Bedrin at DS Penske.
