Volkswagen India has revised the prices of its premium mid-size sedan, the Virtus, effective January 2026. The revision includes a significant price reduction for select entry-level and top-tier automatic trims, while the rest of the lineup has seen a general price hike. The Comfortline 1.0 MT variant has received the largest price cut of Rs. 70,201, making the base model more accessible. On the other hand, popular variants such as the Highline, GT Line, and GT Plus have become more expensive, with price hikes ranging from Rs. 21,000 to over Rs. 45,000.<\/p>\n
The company has also discontinued two manual variants, the GT Plus Chrome 1.5 MT and the GT Plus Sport 1.5 MT. The revised prices are as follows:<\/p>\n

The Volkswagen Virtus is a top choice in the sedan segment due to its 5-star Global NCAP safety rating and powerful engine options. The car is available with a 1.0L TSI engine producing 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, and a 1.5L TSI EVO engine producing 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. The Virtus also features a segment-leading length of 4561 mm, a massive 521-litre boot space, and a practical ground clearance of 179 mm.
