Ashok Leyland, a Hinduja Group company, aims to expand its customer base in Uttar Pradesh by providing vehicle service points every 25 km along highways across the state. The company’s head of light commercial vehicle business, Viplav Shah, sees Uttar Pradesh as the growth engine that will drive the country’s progress. Currently, Ashok Leyland operates 350 service workshops and has partnered with 22 dealers in the state, covering 75 districts. The company has covered almost 90% of the state with its service stations and is selling 3,000 units of light commercial vehicles annually out of a total market size of 25,000 units. Shah believes the state presents a dynamic and welcoming environment for investments, and the company is making significant expansions in the region.
