Yamaha has unveiled the 2025 R3, an updated version of its sporty bike. While the bike’s mechanical components remain unchanged, including the 321cc parallel-twin engine and suspension setup, it features several new updates. These include a slip-assist clutch, which should improve high-speed riding and reduce clutch lever fatigue, and an optional quickshifter for upshifts only. The bike also gets a new LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity, a first for the R3. The styling has been refreshed to match the latest R design philosophy, with a new look that includes LED DRLs, a projector headlamp, and reworked side fairings and tail section. The bike’s riding position remains unchanged, although the front section of the rider seat has been narrowed to make it easier for shorter riders to place their feet on the ground. The R3 will likely be available in India in 2024, priced around Rs 4.65 lakh (ex-showroom) as a CBU import.
