The festival, which runs from Saturday, July 13 to Sunday, July 28, is hosted by the Council for British Archaeology and supported by the National Trust.
This year’s theme is ‘archaeology and community’, and visitors to selected National Trust places can get stuck into a range of activities, including guided walks and talks, handling finds, children’s activities, surveying and excavations.
